Spinergy, Inc. is a leading American manufacturer based in San Marcos, California, that specializes in high-performance wheels for both the bicycle and wheelchair markets. Founded in 1990 (with roots tracing back to 1987), the company gained early fame for its revolutionary “Rev X” carbon 
bicycle wheel before pivoting its focus toward life-changing mobility technology.
The Core Technology is with their PBO Fiber Spokes and that sets Spinergy apart from all other manufacturers. The patented PBO (Polyphenylene Bensobisoxazole) fiber spokes provide superior performance in both daily use active living products. The strength and weight comes from spokes that contain over 30,000 strands of fiber, making it 3x stronger than stainless steel at just half the weight. The shock absorption PBO fibers are 25% more shock-absorbent than steel. This significantly reduces vibrations reaching the user’s body, helping to prevent fatigue and muscle spasms while providing a “silent” ride. Their spoke durability comes from chemical and corrosion-resistance, making them ideal for all-weather and high-impact environments.
Spinergy provides specialized wheel solutions for every type of wheelchair user with everyday wheels models like the Spox and LX series designed for daily use. Their LXL is one of the lightest weighing in at 586g per wheel and the flex-rim is the only one of its kind in the marketplace.
On the active living and sport side their wheels are engineered for high-contact sports like Wheelchair Rugby and Basketball, as well as WCMX and Tennis. These wheels often feature “X-Laced” spoke patterns for extreme lateral stiffness.
Spinergy is well-known for its customization options, offering spokes in various vibrant colors that allow users to personalize their chairs. By reducing the weight and vibration of a wheelchair, their products are often used to help prevent long-term repetitive strain injuries to the shoulders and neck.

Wheelchair Limited Warranty & Return Policy
Spinergy wheelchair wheel products are warranted for 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not extend beyond four years from date of manufacture. Spinergy warrants to the original owner that this new wheel shall be free of defective materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of the original purchase (proof of purchase required) provided the wheel is operated under normal conditions and use. During this warranty period, Spinergy shall repair or replace, at its sole option, all parts that are found by Spinergy to be defective and subject to this Limited Warranty with this exception: Spinergy will offer replacement parts or NFR pricing on any wheels no longer in production / obsolete that otherwise fall within the time constraints of this warranty. The original owner shall pay all labor & shipping charges connected with the repair or replacement of the wheel. This Limited Warranty is made only to the original owner of this new Spinergy wheel, and it shall remain in force only as long as the original owner retains ownership of the Spinergy wheel. This Limited Warranty is not transferable. This Limited Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear (bearings), nor to defects, malfunctions or failures that result from the abuse, neglect, shocks or crashes, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, accident, or misuse (including without limitation, basketball, quad rugby, tennis or any similar sporting activities), nor damage occurring during shipment, improper assembly or assembly with non-compatible products.
This Limited Warranty is the only express or Limited Warranty applicable to the Spinergy wheel products. Any implied warranties, including warrants of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, shall be limited in scope and duration in accordance with this Limited Warranty. Spinergy shall not be responsible for any direct, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages suffered by any party. The foregoing statements of warranty are exclusive and in lieu of all other remedies. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state/country to country. Some states/countries do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, or the limitations or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; therefore, the limitations and exclusions set forth in this Limited Warranty may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty set forth herein may not be extended, enlarged or otherwise modified by any Spinergy dealer, distributor, agent, or employee, and Spinergy does not assume any liability or make any warranty except as stated in this Limited Warranty. This warranty does not cover products whose serial number or identification has been erased, damaged or modified.
FlexRim® Handrims Inclusion
The FlexRim handrim component (inclusive of the urethane membrane and aluminum handrim) is warranted for a period of one year against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. This Limited Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear (urethane membrane, handrim ring), nor to defects, malfunctions or failures that result from the abuse, neglect, shocks or crashes, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, accident, or misuse (including without limitation, basketball, quad rugby, tennis or any similar sporting activities), nor damage occurring during shipment, improper assembly by the customer or assembly with non-compatible products. All other terms of Spinergy Limited Warranty apply.
If a small bond separation between the urethane and handrim or wheel rim is noticed, please contact your dealer or Spinergy to obtain the “Flexrim repair kit” as soon as possible. Small bond separations can and should be fixed before the separation progresses. The Flexrim repair kit consists of a special adhesive that will re-bond a separation of less than three inches.
Return Procedure
To obtain a return authorization (RA) number, please be ready to supply the following information to our service department:
- Copy of original receipt (if wanting work covered under warranty)
- Name, phone number, email
- Return shipping address
- Product name and problem with wheel
When packing the wheel, clearly place RA# on outside of box. Remove cassette, tires, tubes, wheel magnets, rim tape, and skewers before sending in for service. Failure to comply with the above mentioned guidelines can result in significant delays or a “return to sender”. Typical turnaround time is 5-14 days, once wheel has been received at our facility.
No Fault Replacement Program
Spinergy offers a “no fault replacement,” or NFR program. The Spinergy NFR program will give you a discount off any set of current Spinergy wheels when you return your current set of Spinergy wheels whether they are damaged or not. For more program details please contact service@spinergy.com
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not extend to those items which may require replacement due to normal wear and tear:
- Motor brushes
- Abuse, misuse, accident, or negligence
- Battery fluid spillage or leakage
- Tires and tubes
- Improper operation, maintenance, or storage
- Commercial use, or use other than normal
