Dr. Timothy Nugent (R.I.P January 10, 1923 - November 11, 2015), the Uinversity of Illinois professor who started his work in the 40's creating programs for people with a disability founded the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) in 1949. He has numerous accolades to his credit and touched the lives of thousands of people many of which have shared stories and spoken very highly of him in the past couple weeks and at his service last Friday.
